"Photography has been an interest of mine since my pre-teen years in Michigan. During high school, I began working in the darkroom and shot medium format for my high school newspaper. Throughout the seventies and eighties I shot mostly color slides of landscapes and snapshots of growing kids!
"In the mid-nineties, I had the fortune to become friends with a photographer here in New England. The timing was right: Roger encouraged me to get back into photography, lending me his expertise and his darkroom. I upgraded my gear to a Nikon N70 and later a Nikon F100, learning the color darkroom just in time for it to become obsolete. My son John and son-in-law Phil join me in friendly competition. I've met many talented photographers and enjoy sharing ideas and images with them all."
